1920s Antique Floating Dairy Thermometer, Fahrenheit, Original Case, Dairy Farm Tools Thermometer in Tube

Beautiful glass floating dairy thermometer with a glass hook at the top. I find it amusing that the Fahrenheit degrees and other information are on a piece of paper that was rolled and put in the glass tube. It has terrific markings in vintage lettering with temperatures for FREEZING, CHURNING, CHEESE and SCALDING. This thermometer would make it a perfect addition to your kitchen or farmhouse decor, or as part of a shadow box.

It looks like a fine crack all the way around the piece at the base of the paper, or what I think is more likely is that is where 2 sections of glass were fused together.
Some hazy patina on the inside.
Comes in part of its original cardboard case. The case is quite worn and made of what looks like thick cardboard.
Approximately 8 ⅜” long.
