Vintage 20th century Boho Woven Vase and Wooden Mechanical Bottle Cork Stopper

I found these together and couldn’t break up the set! Vintage Wicker enclosed white glass vase is in perfect condition. The mechanical bottle stopper’s face is so happy that I couldn’t cast him aside even though he is missing an arm and there is a chip out of his book. He is a bit loose, but when the lever is pushed on his back, he raises his glasses to his face.

Wicker enclosed vase is 6.5” tall and 3.25” wide.
Mechanical cork is approximately 5” tall.

Dating back to the early 1800's, Egermann Company specializes in hand decorated glass with each piece posing a decorative and highly art oriented character. Egermann's main claim to fame is its invention in 1832 of a process called "red staining" in where the dark ruby red coloring on each piece's surface is decorated by baroque patterns using cutting and engraving processes. Egermann is the world's premier manufacturer of the "red staining" process.
