Vintage Ruby Red Goblet - Ale Glass- Souvenir Glass - Bohemian Czech Style

Beautiful, hand blown and hand crafted ale glass with a laurel and floral design created with ruby flash and etching. The base is solid and the pontil mark is visible on the bottom. It is a truly unique barware piece to add to your home. Use it as a glass, vase or ?????

Etched on the front is ‘Andenken an Gÿbin’ or ‘Souvenir of Gÿbin’ (or is it Gübin, Dübin, Dÿbin...)
No chips or cracks.

Dating back to the early 1800's, Egermann Company specializes in hand decorated glass with each piece posing a decorative and highly art oriented character. Egermann's main claim to fame is its invention in 1832 of a process called "red staining" in where the dark ruby red coloring on each piece's surface is decorated by baroque patterns using cutting and engraving processes. Egermann is the world's premier manufacturer of the "red staining" process.

Most items in my shop are vintage and are not brand new and come from estate sales. The items may show minor age-related wear and/or minor flaws consistent with the date of manufacture (please be sure to check photos carefully as they are part of the description).
