This is a gorgeous vintage reprint of this classic Japanese work of art that captures all of the grace and beauty of the original work of art by Hosoda Eishi. It is from "Seiro Geisha Sen" ("Selected Courtesans"), the beauty Itsutomi and her shamisen. It is a perfect art accessory for any room in your house. This delicate image of a geisha, Itsutomi, was first painted in the 1700s and has been beloved for hundreds of years all around the world.
There is a small darker spot on the paper that seems to have been introduced with age.
The paper is a little heavier than rice paper.
Approximately 6.25” tall and 4 ⅜” wide.
It is framed in a black lacquer frame that is approximately 8.75” tall and 6.75” wide. There are scratches and scuffs on the frame (please see pictures).
