MCM Capodimonte Wine Jug or Teapot with Pewter Cover and the Cork - Made In Italy

This fabulous Italian piece was designed by Capodimonte. It is hand painted and features gold, blue and green roosters and flowers. Some of the brush strokes smeared some so the browns carry across the piece. It has a metal lid. The metal and wood cork for the spout is attached by a sturdy chain and fit loosely into the spout. A beautiful piece that will compliment your home decor whether MCM, shabby chic, farmhouse, country, rustic, or ????

It measures 9” high and 9” from spout to handle.
I believe this is from the 1960s or 1970s.

No chips or cracks, but where the handle was attached to the body, the edges can be seen on the inside. The glaze is intact over this area. There is minor crazing on the piece.
