Unique 1850s black and white Japanese woodblock art printed on rice paper that depicts four men with spears guarding two women. This is a page from an ‘ehon’ (illustrated book) which is very similar to the ukiyo-e, woodblock prints. A truly unique piece that is perfect to add to a collection or give as a gift!

Picture is approximately 6.75” tall and 4 ⅝” wide.
It is framed in a black lacquer frame that is approximately 8.75” tall and 6.75” wide. There are scratches and scuffs on the frame (please see pictures).

Please see my other listings for the other 4 pictures from this estate sale.
