Vintage Half Gallon Milk Bottle with Side Grips

Lovely large glass container with side grips. It is functional and will compliment your home decor, whether MCM, shabby chic, farmhouse, country, romantic, bohemian, or ????
Approximately 10.5” tall and 4.25” wide.
The air bubbles in glass lead me to think this is from the 1950s or earlier.
Bottle has scuffs and scratches, but not chips.
Embossed on heel: Reg., Sealed LG SG Half Gallon Liquid
On bottom: 1-188, 66, 48-E, cross hatch design around the edge
