Strasburg Ware Porcelain Mantel Clock - Early 20th Century

$136.80 $152.00

This is a beautiful porcelain mantel clock painted in vibrant colors. The face of the clock has ornate numbers and dial. Below the face is a romantic painting of a man about to bestow laurels on the head of a young woman sitting by her mother. The piece itself has scrollwork worked into its design of mauve, green, brown and gold.

I do not know if the clock works or not (we do not have a key), but it does look like all of the pieces are there. There likely was a glass door that went over the clock face, but that is no longer there.
There is crazing all over the piece.
Approximately 13.75” tall, 11.75” wide, 5” deep
Strasburg Ware was English pottery from the early 20th century. The name and style was actually taken from an older 18th century pottery works in Strasbourg, France
