1999 Little Women 16” Doll, Marmee - Madame Alexander Play Doll Collection, 28040 - NIB

This is a gorgeous 1999 Madame Alexander Little Women Doll, Marmee, in the Journal Dolls series. She comes in her original MA doll box and has not been removed; she is tied in the box with her original ties and hairnet. This doll is immaculate, and just like new, though the tissue paper in the box is torn. She has a beautiful deep purple taffeta dress with a lovely floral green and black print over skirt. The dress is trimmed in beautiful black lace. She has a lovely cameo at her neck and high top black shoes. She wears long ivory satin pantaloons and a gorgeous ivory slip, both trimmed in lace, of the matching material. The slip has a full under section of beautiful tulle which makes the slip and skirt strut well. Her features are perfect; her eyes open and close well, and she has beautiful shining dark brown hair in its original set, with bangs. She comes with her original MA paper hand tag stating that she is Madame Alexander's Marmee; and this doll also has her original "Doll of the Year", DOTY, tag on its silver cord with the year she was made and selected as such, 1999. The box comes with the original pink tissue paper from Madame Alexander still in it. This doll is ready for gift giving, for Christmas or a special birthday.
