Antique The Wise Pig Cast Iron Still Penny or Coin Bank - by Jessie McCutcheon Nelson

This is an interesting bank with a pig sitting on a pedestal labeled Thrifty and holding a sign that says, “The Wise PIg. Save a penny yesterday , another save today, tomorrow save another to keep the wolf away. The still coin bank is made of cast iron with the two halves held together with a flat head screw on the side. The remnants of the red, brown, and black paints are still visible and there is some rust.
Approximately 6.5” tall and 2.75” wide and it weighs 2 lb. 1.4 oz.
