The Nova Scotia Glass Company (Trenton-Nova Scotia, Co. Operated: 1881-1890) created the Jubilee line in 1887 for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. This plate is shown in the Jubilee nova collection on EAPG.net (https://www.eapgs.net/search-results.php?pattern-name=queen&motif=38)
Approximately 10” wide (11.75” wide with the handles). No chips or cracks.
This lovely platter has the young Queen's profile at the center with "1837" underneath, the year of her Coronation. The profile which is in an oval medallion is surrounded by a Laurel wreath. The platter's border is decorated with 6 patterns of The Rose of England, as well as 2 Coat of Arms Arms of the United Kingdom. The handles are decorated with the Thistle of Scotland and crowns that look like they are outlined with sparkling diamonds.
