Two Vintage Souvenir Porcelain Black Shoe Ashtrays Featuring a Dog and Cat

Two interesting ashtrays featuring a dog barking at a cat sitting on the top of the boot. The paint is worn in places on both pieces. Use it as an ashtray, a pen holder or for a small plant.

It looks like a chip on the head of the gray tabby, but it may also be paint as the porcelain is not orange in color.
I do not see anything else that looks like a chip or crack.
Larger one had ‘Japan’ stamped on the side.

Larger one is 3.5” long and 3” tall. On the corner of the boot is written the place it is a souvenir from, but I cannot make it out.
Smaller one 3.25” long and 2.5” tall

Most items in my shop are vintage and are not brand new and come from estate sales.
