Intl. Silver Co. Fluted Glass Bowl Insert with Intricate Floral Design

This is a beautiful fluted pressed glass bowl which combines extensive and elegant floral design with a starburst base. The floral nature is enhanced by the gentle scalloping of the edge which looks like the petals of a flower.

This glass piece should be sitting in a silver base, but unfortunately that was not with this piece. There is a groove near the bottom of the base that I assume was used to insert it into the base. However, this glass bowl can stand on its own. I have seen this exact glass piece associated with both the Forbes Silver Company and the Eureka Silver Company, which were both parts of International Silver Co.

The piece is in great condition. There is a tiny flea bite on the rim and an odd hook-shaped scratch on either side of the base that was introduced during the manufacturing (see pictures).
Approximately 8 ⅛” wide and 3 ⅞” high
