The title, The Incubator Baby, piqued my curiosity, especially since this book is from 1906. The size of the font makes me think this was a children’s book and there are words occasionally underlined. Reading the first few pages, it seems that a young stork picked a baby and delivered it too small (1 lb., 8 oz) and so she was placed in an incubator and it talks of her mother who believed in ‘science and system.’
There is some wear and tear on the cover and there is writing that has been crossed out on the inside cover ‘Mrs. Clara C. Hurst (?) Redlands, California.’ There are 4 illustrations in the 111 page book. Approximately 7.5” x 5.25”.
Published by Funk & Wagnalls Company, New York and London, 1906.
