Antique Meat Carving Fork with Antler Handle and Self Stand

Unusual old carving fork with self stand. Writing engraved on the inside of the stand says ‘Patent July 5th, 1886.’ Decorative metal band to hold the antler handle to the knife. The metal piece to cover the end of the handle is missing and there is some rust on the piece. For its age, it has survived surprisingly well.
