Vintage Bakelite Knife and Fork Carving Set with Lucite Handles - E. Parker and Sons, Made in Sheffield, England

Nice carving set with butterscotch or caramel handles. There is a small nick in the bottle of the knife handle (see pictures). Knife says ‘E. Parker and Sons, Made in Sheffield, England’ and ‘Stainless Steel’
Fork says ‘Stainless Steel’

Knife: 11.5” long
Fork: 10” long

“Bakelite was the major form of “art plastic” from the 1930s through to the 1950s. It was patented by Belgian born Leo Hendrik Baekeland in New York, in 1907, and was the first truly synthetic and thermosetting plastic.”
